- Ricardo Scucuglia. I was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I am a math teacher graduated at UNESP (Sao Paulo State University) and I love music. I played in a heavy metal band in Brazil for 10 years. Currently, I am a PhD student in Education at the University of Western Ontario. It is a dream to be a participant of Joy of X because, simultaneously, I can play the guitar and get involved in mathematics education. It is always a tremendous pleasure to be a performance mathematician, getting very warm and meaningful feedback from the students and teachers in our concerts.
